matar paneer - perfect for rotis and rice

                                                 Matar Paneer


Ingredients:

Green peas   :  1 cup
Paneer           : 200 gms
Oil                   : 2 table spoons
Cumin seeds  : 1 tea spoon
Onions            :  2 large
Ginger garlic paste  : 1 table spoon
Green chillies  :  2 (finely chopped)
Turmeric powder  : 1 tea spoon
Red  chilli powder  :  1 tea spoon
Coriander powder  : 1 tea spoon
Tomatoes          : 2 large (make puree)
Garam masala powder  :  ½ tea spoon
Coriander leaves    : 1 table spoon (finely chopped)


Preperation method :

Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. When they begin to change colour, add the onions and ginger garlic paste.
 Sauté till light brown. Add the green chillies , turmeric powder , red chilli powder and coriander powder and sauté for one minute.
Add the tomato puree, salt and one cup of water and cook for two minutes. Add the green peas, mix well and cook for two minutes or till the peas are soft.
Carefully stir in the paneer cubes and garam masala powder.

 Serve hot garnished with the chopped fresh coriander.
